Tess Jetnikoff is an artist, musician, producer, remixer, and dj, living on bundjalung country (byron Bay).

She has been captivated by all things art and music since she was a small child.

Intense colours and textures dominate her artworks, reminiscent of Fauvism.

She uses a variety of palette knives and high-quality oil paints to create thick and wild layers of contrasting colours and textures.

For Tess, painting is most often an intuitive undertaking, lead by her subconscious mind. She allows her feelings and emotions to guide her - from the subject matter to colours chosen for each artwork.

Some pieces will evoke a sense of darkness or grief, others, a sense of calmness, desire, or female-empowerment.

Under her pseudonym Shmo-fi, she blends spicy beats, spacey, ambient rhythms, and fun catch-phrases to create music that will take you to another world.

she also makes up one half of the acclaimed Melbourne band, Broad Spectrum Placebo, wherein she creates buoyantly melodic synth-pop bops, filled with hard-hitting bass, tied neatly together with authentic and raw lyrics reflecting loneliness, trauma, and empowerment.

Additionally, Tess creates tiny 5-inch and 3-inch records that are popular in underground scenes and has amassed a cult following.

Tess also has a huge passion for working with young people. she loves to work with them to get them to see their worth and reach their full potential in whatever it is they dream to achieve.
